Officers Mess – Club House

Our Officer’s Mess building was originally one of 31 others based at RFC Rendcomb. It was built in 1916 for the Royal Flying Corps, and used as a mess for pilots during their flying training. The other similar buildings on the site were used for various functions, however our Officer’s Mess and the Engine Shed are all that remain from the original plan. The site fell into disuse in 1918 and was used as a farming building until its restoration in 1992.

We now hold our exhilarating public wingwalks from this historical venue, as well as private filming and corporate events.

Immerse yourself in the history of our private airfield with our base being our original WW1 Officer’s Mess.

With comfortable indoor seating and a large outside viewing area, complete with picnic benches and an up close view of our Boeing Stearman aircraft your experience at RFC Rendcomb will be like no other.

AeroSuperBatics has the space to accommodate your spectators, friends and family, and with hot beverages available on site, this beautiful base in the heart of the Cotswolds will be the perfect backdrop for your Wingwalking adventure.

Please note that there is no café so we are unable to serve food. However, we have lots of benches and encourage people to bring picnics for their front row view. Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on a lead.
