The World's Only Formation Wingwalking Team

Display Details

The team display is a well choreographed and rehearsed routine. The wingwalkers perform a breathtaking sequence of acrobatic manoeuvres and handstands whilst strapped to the top wings of the team's beautiful Boeing Stearman biplanes. The highly experienced team pilots fly the aircraft through a well rehearsed energetic routine of dazzling aerobatics and close formation flypasts as the wingwalkers wave at the crowd. These manoeuvres include, loops, rolls, stall turns and even inverted flight! During all of this, the wingwalkers experience speeds of up to 150 mph and 'G' forces of up to 4G!

DISPLAY OPTION ONE

THE SUPER SOLO
(normal duration 12 minutes)

This display consists of one of our Boeing Stearman biplanes performing an adrenaline pumping action packed routine of aerobatics and flypasts with a wingwalker performing daredevil acrobatic manouevres in her special rig on the top wing. The wingwalker can rotate sideways and upside down to give a dazzling performance which can be easily seen by the crowd. Just to add to the ‘wow’ factor, she will also leave this rig during flight and perform the arabesque manouevre or sit on the front of the wing whilst waving at the crowd before climbing back down into the cockpit!

This display option works really well at smaller venues and contains lots of aerobatics! The environmentally friendly smoke system adds to the spectacle by creating some fantastic contrails in the sky above!

DISPLAY OPTION TWO

THE FORMATION PAIR
(normal duration 15 minutes)

This is by far the most famous and popular display. This display consists of two of our Boeing Stearman biplanes performing an aerial duet of action packed formation flying. It is fantastic crowd pleaser at every event! The 2 aircraft perform formation aerobatic manoeuvres including loops, rolls and the famous AeroSuperBatics trade mark ‘Mirror Formation’ pass where the wingwalkers try to hold hands with one aeroplane flying upside down above the other! The duo then move on to perform some breathtakingly close opposition passes which look great from the crowd and create some fantastic photographic opportunities!

This display option works really well at most events large or small. Add to it the noise of the 2 Pratt & Witney 450hp radial engines and the environmentally friendly smoke system, and you’ve got a winning formula for entertainment at any event!

Display Location Requirements

Our wingwalking team can perform at any event with wide open space and captivate crowds wherever they travel – they are not just restricted to airports or runway orientated events. The wingwalkers often perform at seaside and open field events all around the UK and across Europe. We work with the relevant authorities and show organisers to acquire any necessary permissions that may be required. (see display schedule)

UK, European & International Shows

Our wingwalking team has the ability to display anywhere in the world. For all European events outside the UK, we will fly ourselves there allowing plenty of time to ensure we arrive the day before the airshow begins. Our chief pilot has access to great weather forecasting facilities to ensure that we avoid bad weather en-route, even if it means leaving a day or two early. For events outside of Europe, we are able to air freight or ship the aeroplanes from the UK and back. Our engineers are very experienced and are able to do this in minimal time. Private or Public Events

Our wingwalking team can display at any public or private event. We often display at private weddings, fetes, fairs, motor races, golf tournaments and music concerts. We liase directly with the Civil Aviation Authority and other government authorities to gain all necessary permissions and exemptions so you don’t have to worry. All quotations given will include any fees associated with gaining these permissions or exemptions.
